How to get Unstable Egg pets

Unstable Egg pets come from the Unstable Egg, not from a zone, so there is no Speed requirement and no nest to camp. The wiki gives no spawn chance for any of them, so we cannot say how many eggs one takes.

Sources like this come and go with the weekly Saturday updates, and the wiki does not mark which are still open. The updates page shows what is live now and the countdown to the next update.

Are Unstable Egg pets worth it?

The wiki gives no spawn chances here, so there is no "average egg" to compute; the values are what each pet earns at base size. No zone's average egg matches Octophant.

Measured against the zone ladder: Octophant ($4B/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Angels & Demons, where Aetheron makes $6.9B/s; Rhinobear ($1B/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Cosmic, where Unicorn makes $1B/s; Sharkodile ($350M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Cosmic, where Unicorn makes $1B/s; Spiderpig ($25M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Snow, where Ice Dragon makes $65M/s; Frogfly ($1.25M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Jungle, where King Snake makes $3.5M/s.

Size and mutations change all of this: a Rainbow Octophant earns $14B/s at base size, and a bigger one more still. The income calculator does the arithmetic for any weight.

Unstable Egg pets against the zone ladder

For each pet: the first zone whose average egg is worth as much, and the first zone whose best pet earns as much. "None" means no zone reaches it.

What Unstable Egg pets earn per hour and per day
