These pets are not tied to a zone, so Speed does not unlock them. The source arrived with the Rifts Are Opening update on Sep 5, 2026 (the game's 3rd official update).

The wiki first listed the Rift pets on Sep 5, 2026 and the newest on Sep 8, 2026. Those are wiki page dates, not the game's patch notes.

How to get Rift pets

Rift pets come from the Rift, not from a zone, so there is no Speed requirement and no nest to camp. The eggs involved: Riftbeasts Egg, Shattered Rift Egg, Riftborn Egg, Riftborn Eggs. The wiki gives no spawn chance for any of them, so we cannot say how many eggs one takes.

The official listing for Rifts Are Opening (Sep 5, 2026) said: "RIFTS ARE OPENING… Strange Rifts have begun tearing open across the world. Nobody knows where they lead. Nobody knows what’s waiting inside. Those who get too close report hearing strange sounds from within… Growls. Screeches. Something moving on the other side. But the one rumor that keeps spreading… Those who…".

Sources like this come and go with the weekly Saturday updates, and the wiki does not mark which are still open. The updates page shows what is live now and the countdown to the next update.

Are Rift pets worth it?

The wiki gives no spawn chances here, so there is no "average egg" to compute; the values are what each pet earns at base size. No zone's average egg matches Shattered Colossus.

Measured against the zone ladder: Shattered Colossus ($3.5B/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Angels & Demons, where Aetheron makes $6.9B/s; Void Serpent ($900M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Cosmic, where Unicorn makes $1B/s; Shattered Drake ($800M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Cosmic, where Unicorn makes $1B/s; World Eater ($500M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Cosmic, where Unicorn makes $1B/s; Shardwing ($145M/s) is first out-earned by a zone pet in Prehistoric, where Mosasaurus makes $180M/s.

Size and mutations change all of this: a Rainbow Shattered Colossus earns $12.3B/s at base size, and a bigger one more still. The income calculator does the arithmetic for any weight.

Rift pets against the zone ladder

For each pet: the first zone whose average egg is worth as much, and the first zone whose best pet earns as much. "None" means no zone reaches it.

What Rift pets earn per hour and per day

Base income per second, minute, hour and day for every Rift pet with a listed value, at base size with no mutation. Size changes it: Shattered Colossus at ten times its base weight (160,000 kg) earns $14.5B/s, Void Serpent at ten times its base weight (140,000 kg) earns $3.72B/s, Shattered Drake at ten times its base weight (300,000 kg) earns $3.31B/s.
